The QuantBio-lab is currently looking for a new PhD for a project on developing and applying stochastic dynamics methods to advance computational studies of Focused Electron Beam Induced Deposition (FEBID), starting as soon as possible.
The overall goal of this project is centred on developing and applying stochastic dynamics methods to advance computational studies of the FEBID process. By emphasizing stochastic approaches, this project aims to enhance molecular dynamics (MD) and density functional theory (DFT) calculations, enabling multiscale simulations that capture the complexity of molecular systems. The primary goal is to model chemical transformations in molecular systems exposed to radiation, leveraging irradiation-driven molecular dynamics (IDMD) as one of the key techniques. The work will also involve creating computational integrations between software tools to automate these stochastic simulations, facilitating seamless analysis of FEBID-related processes.
