Submitted by claus on

Peter Husen who has been part of the QBL group for several years have now been employed as an assistant professor at SDU, where he will continue as part of the QBL group.

Peter's research revolves around mitochondria as an antimicrobial drug target. In particular, the vital metabolic cythochrome bc1 protein complex as a target for drugs against the malaria parasite will be a main focus. Computational studies will be used to reveal the molecular mechanism behind enzymatic inhibitors and their specificity to species and mutations. His work could aid in the development of new drugs to battle acquired resistance in parasites.
