SDU: The perfect spot for a birds' inner compass

The recent paper published together with our collaborators from Oldenburg about the localization of European Robin Cryptochrome4 in the double-cone cells in bird retinae has received attention in the form an article by SDU, with the headlines:

"Migratory birds use a magnetic compass in their eye for navigation. Its basic sensory mechanisms have long remained elusive, but now researchers reveal exactly where in the eye, the birds’ control center for navigation is situated."
