On wednesday, March 25th, Claus defended his Ph.d thesis entitled "A Study of Magnetoreceptor Capabilities of Biological Systems". Due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, the defense was held electronically where Claus gave a lecture on the topic "Spin Dynamics in Biology". The defense was well received, this, sadly marks Claus' departure from the group.
